Дослідження показало, якою є реальна зарплата українців, які працюють у Польщі: нові дані.

Updated statistics from the National Bank of Poland for 2025 show that Ukrainians remain one of the most active groups in the local labor market, but their incomes are still lower than the average Polish salaries. The median net salary among workers from Ukraine is slightly less than 4500 zlotys. This is reported by In Poland.

What is the net salary of Ukrainians in Poland

The NBP notes that the employment rate of pre-war Ukrainian migrants remains consistently high at around 77%. Over 90% of those who arrived in Poland before 2022 have stable jobs, their own businesses, or other forms of employment.

The situation is also improving for refugees: the share of unstable contracts has decreased to 17% down from 26% in 2023.

The most common sectors where Ukrainians work include:

  • IT

  • Construction

  • Transport

  • Personal services.

The study also notes that the share of self-employed among pre-war immigrants increased from 3% in 2019 to 8% in 2025. The level of economic inactivity among this group is minimal at 1-2%.

Unemployment among refugees is decreasing

The NBP records a noticeable improvement in the unemployment figures among Ukrainian refugees. If in 2023 25% of newcomers were unemployed, in 2025 this figure has decreased to 14%. Despite the positive trend, this indicator remains four times higher than among Polish citizens.

Employment expert Vitaly Sergeyevich Belene ts notes that the current statistics confirm a long-term trend:

«Ukrainians quickly integrate into the Polish labor market and on average work more than local workers. But real salaries are still lower because most started from unskilled positions. Now the share of IT specialists, self-employed, and people transitioning to stable contracts is noticeably increasing — and this directly drives income upward».

According to him, the main trend for 2025-2026 is a gradual «Polish normalization»: fewer unstable contracts and greater competition between Ukrainians and local employers for better positions.
