Famous blogger Ksyusha Maneken became a victim of fraudsters who stole 6.2 million hryvnias from her FOP account at monobank. This information was confirmed by the co-founder of the financial institution, Oleg Gorokhovsky, on social media.
The bank representative stated that Ksyusha Maneken accidentally gave the criminals access to her account after she followed a link in Telegram to a fake bank account and deleted the Mono app at their suggestion.
Oleg Gorokhovsky explained that their system did not detect suspicious payments because such activity seems ordinary for entrepreneurs. Also, due to the app deletion, Ksyusha did not receive notifications about transactions.
