Build in Ukraine: How the country's defense complex is becoming part of the European ecosystem

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has initiated Build in Ukraine, aimed at integrating the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex into the European defense ecosystem. The goal is to increase the country's security and attract investments. According to representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ukraine, in times of war, is not only repelling aggression but also transforming its defense sector, focusing on the development of its own production and joint ventures.

The initiative plays a key role in providing the Armed Forces with necessary equipment and makes Ukraine an important player in the international defense technology market. Currently, Ukraine is collaborating with leading global companies in the defense field, such as BAE Systems, Rheinmetall, SAAB, Northrop Grumman, which contributes not only to strengthening the country's defense capabilities but also to attracting foreign investments and creating new jobs. More than 25 companies have already started the process of localizing production in Ukraine, indicating the country's shift from a consumer role to an active participant in creating modern defense technologies, stimulating the economy and the development of international cooperation.
