Massive power outage in Kyiv: three districts left without electricity

Темні вулиці Києва: три райони без світла через великі відключення електроенергії.

Large-scale power outage in three districts of Kyiv

A large-scale power outage occurred in three districts of the capital. Residents of Holosiivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Pecherskyi districts were left without electricity. This was reported by the Kyiv city administration on its official channel.

According to the city authorities, the reason for the outages was the overload of the power grid at one of Kyiv's energy facilities. Due to power supply problems, there were also brief disruptions in the operation of the metro. At some stations, the voltage decreased, after which the system automatically switched to backup power. The disruptions lasted less than a minute.

Currently, specialists are working to resolve the issue and restore power supply in the affected districts. The metro has returned to normal operation and is functioning without interruptions.
