The government redistributed 700 million hryvnias for road repairs in frontline regions

The government supported the initiative of the Ministry of Development and the Recovery Agency regarding the redistribution of funds for road repairs in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. According to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, this concerns the routes that are used for evacuation and are crucial for military logistics.


'We must do everything to ensure stable communication in frontline regions and enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure. In wartime, roads are not only about convenience but also safety, logistics, evacuation, and the ability to quickly deliver aid where it is most needed,' said the Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

The total amount of the grant for the Kharkiv region is 450.5 million hryvnias. This refers to the remaining funds transferred to the special fund of the state budget for the Recovery Agency, which were not used in 2024. The use of funds for the current repair of state significance roads in the Poltava and Sumy regions was also approved. The total amount of financing is 256 million hryvnias. These funds are also allocated from the remaining special fund of the state budget that was not utilized in 2024.


The government of Ukraine supported the initiative for road repairs in the East of the country, redistributing funds for this purpose in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. This decision is important to ensure safety, logistics, and the speed of aid delivery in frontline regions.
