Norwegian skier Einar Hedegart earned his first victory at the World Cup, winning the 10 km freestyle race at the stage in Trondheim. Hedegart, who surprised everyone by deciding to switch from biathlon to cross-country skiing, managed to outpace many strong competitors, including Johannes Klæbo.
The final protocol showed that the 24-year-old athlete finished in first place, taking the highest step of the podium for the first time. He edged out Andreas Fjorden Rehr by 0.4 seconds. Hedegart admitted that this victory was a real revelation for him and he is proud of his performance.
Recently, many biathletes have successfully transitioned to cross-country skiing, demonstrating high results. This phenomenon is also spreading to other athletes who skillfully combine both sports.
