New Signing for Epitsentr
Ukrainian Premier League side Kamianets-Podilskyi Epitsentr has bolstered its squad by signing defender Valeriy Luchkevich. The 30-year-old, who has joined on a contract until the end of the current season and will wear the number 67 shirt, is expected to strengthen the team's defensive options for the remainder of the campaign.
Luchkevich, the son of former Ukraine national team midfielder Ihor Luchkevich, began his professional career at Dnipro, playing for the club from 2014 to 2017. During his time there, he reached the final of the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League. His subsequent career has seen him play for a variety of clubs, including:
- Belgian side Standard Liège
- Ukrainian clubs Oleksandriya
- Dnipro-1
- Kolos
He originally started his football journey in his hometown of Zaporizhzhia.
Anticipated Debut
Valeriy Luchkevich could make his first appearance for his new club in the 19th round of the Premier League. Epitsentr, managed by Serhiy Nahornyak, is scheduled to host Kolos Kovalivka on March 7th, and the new player has already been registered for the match. The club is counting on his experience to solidify its back line and improve its standing in the league. The Ukrainian Premier League is highly competitive, and clubs often look to seasoned players for stability in the second half of the season.
This signing represents a significant move for Epitsentr as they aim to climb the table. Luchkevich's background, which includes playing in European competition, could prove vital in their pursuit of better results. His potential debut against Kolos is seen as a key moment for both the player and the club, with hopes that his defensive contributions will lead to improved performances on the pitch.
