The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend the program "Affordable Loans 5–7–9%" for businesses in frontline territories until the end of 2027. This will allow entrepreneurs operating in combat zones to receive financing and refinance existing loans on preferential terms. The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy reported.
The Cabinet of Ministers Resolution, adopted on October 10, expands the program's coverage to areas where fighting continues but where state electronic information systems operate. Thus, even businesses in the most hazardous regions will be able to apply for state assistance.
According to the new terms, enterprises that have already received support in 2022–2024 now have the right to:
- extend the term of loan agreements until the end of 2027;
- refinance debts on existing loans on preferential terms;
- apply a preferential rate if their area is officially classified as a high military risk zone after the agreement was signed.
The Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksii Sobolev noted that the government decision aims to help businesses survive under shelling:
«Due to strikes, many companies in frontline regions have lost income and production capacity. To help them maintain business and jobs, we have expanded the terms of the 5–7–9% program. This will help enterprises near the front to operate and develop despite the threats».
The "Affordable Loans 5–7–9%" program is part of the state initiative "Made in Ukraine". Its goal is to support micro, small, and medium-sized businesses by reducing the cost of loans through state compensation and guarantees.
