In Russia, a record number of sentences in treason cases were issued in the first six months of this year. 224 sentences is the highest figure in the country's history. Most people were convicted under this article - 76% of all cases.

Unfortunately, the names of more than half of the figures remain confidential, and data from occupied territories are not included in the overall statistics. Information about those convicted of treason and espionage remains under strict secrecy.

Analysts predict a further increase in the number of individuals who will become targets of repression on charges of espionage, terrorism, and treason. The situation in the occupied territories is also complicated, as collaborators lose trust in the Russian authorities due to hidden and closed trials.

Ukrainian intelligence confirms the unfavorable situation in the occupied territories of Russia due to the suppression and conviction of citizens who collaborated with hostile entities.
