According to Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization', the possibility of serving at the place of residence has been canceled for a number of categories of citizens. The new version of the law more broadly defines the individuals who can receive a deferral from military service. Such citizens can voluntarily conclude a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine during martial law, but can no longer serve exclusively at their place of residence.
These changes in legislation have significantly impacted the requirements for citizens who fall under the category of individuals who can be conscripted for military service. The adoption of the law opens up new opportunities and regulates the conditions of mobilization in Ukraine.
