The Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski believes that Ukraine could become a member of the European Union as early as the beginning of the next decade. However, he notes that the speed of this process largely depends on Hungary's attitude, which is slowing down the passage of necessary decisions in the EU.
According to Sikorski, political resistance from Hungary is slowing down the process of Ukraine's accession to the European Union, but at the same time Kyiv continues to grow and already has candidate country status. Additionally, the expert emphasized the importance of strengthening the EU's defense capabilities and fighting corruption for Ukraine's further accession to the European Union.
Ukraine has the opportunity to join the EU in the next decade, but on the way to this goal stand Hungary's capabilities, strengthening the European Union's defense capabilities, and fighting corruption in Ukraine.
