Ukrainian enterprises have received new rules for defining critically important entities. The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has updated the rules for determining critically important enterprises. The main essence of the innovations is that companies engaged in the creation of defense technologies and innovations at their own expense can now be included in this list. The requirements for the volume of employee reservations for such enterprises have also been clarified.
Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindratov explained that an additional criterion for defining critically important entities is the ability to develop military equipment without state funding and to enter into agreements and contracts with the Ministry of Defense. This is aimed at ensuring the stable operation of defense sector enterprises and supporting domestic manufacturers.
The approved changes are likely to strengthen national security and support the economic resilience of the country by enhancing defense capabilities and ensuring support for vital production sectors.
