Hollywood actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie, made a public statement after arriving in Ukraine. According to the publication 'Hvylya', she shared her impressions on Instagram.
Jolie visited Mykolaiv and Kherson, where she met with families living near the front line. She shared her impressions of the dangerous conditions in which local residents have to live. The actress expressed her amazement and admiration for the courage of Ukrainians who do not lose hope and continue to fight in difficult conditions.
'It is hard to understand how in a world with such powerful diplomatic potential, civilians in Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, Yemen, and many other places suffer daily as if those in power can do nothing to end these conflicts and protect all civilians equally. I am inspired by the incredible courage, dedication, and professionalism of local organizations and volunteers. If they can find the strength within themselves, then governments must do the same.'
Angelina Jolie expressed her respect and support for Ukrainians living under difficult conditions near the contact line and urged governments to do more to achieve peace in these regions.
