On August 4, the draw for the playoff round of the Europa League qualification took place. The Ukrainian clubs 'Dynamo' and 'Shakhtar' learned their potential opponents: 'Dynamo' will play against 'Paphos', while 'Shakhtar' will face 'Panathinaikos'.

If successful against the Greek club, 'Shakhtar' will meet the Turkish 'Samsunspor' in the next round. If 'Dynamo' loses to 'Paphos', the team will play against the winner of the pair 'Hamrun Spartans' (Malta) - 'Maccabi' Tel Aviv (Israel).

Additionally, it was announced that the playoff matches of the Europa League qualification will take place on August 21 and 28. If successful in the match against 'Paphos', 'Dynamo' will play against the winner of the pair 'Lech' (Poznan, Poland) / 'Crvena Zvezda' (Serbia).

Recall that the first matches of the Champions League playoff round will take place on August 19-20, and the return matches on August 26-27. In case of failure in the confrontation with 'Paphos', 'Dynamo' will lose its chances for the Champions League and will move to the Europa League playoff round.

The match between 'Shakhtar' and 'Panathinaikos' promises to be an exciting confrontation in the Europa League qualification. If the Donetsk team wins, the next stage will see them meet with Turkish 'Samsunspor'.
