In Lviv, on the weekend of May 30 and 31, the bus route No. 99 to Shevchenkivskyi Hay will resume operation. The city expects an increase in the number of visitors due to the festival and the celebration of Trinity, so the authorities decided to provide additional transportation to the open-air museum. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Bus No. 99 in Lviv will operate to Shevchenkivskyi Hay
Route No. 99 connects Halytska Square with the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life named after Klimentiy Sheptytsky.
The bus will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The frequency will be approximately once an hour.
The route will be serviced by the municipal ATP-1. There will be one bus on the line.
A large flow of visitors is expected at Shevchenkivskyi Hay
On Saturday, a charity festival ChekaFest 2.0 will take place at the open-air museum, dedicated to the memory of Lviv medic Iryna “Cheka” Tsybukh.
Also, on Sunday, during the Trinity holiday, Shevchenkivskyi Hay will traditionally become one of the main relaxation spots for Lviv residents and tourists.
The city council explains that the launch of additional transport is intended to help avoid transportation problems and make getting to the open-air museum more convenient.
The further operation of the route will depend on events at the museum
Bus No. 99 was launched back in April 2025 as a weekend route.
In the winter season, its operation was limited due to low passenger traffic, and the transport was launched only during mass events.
The Lviv City Council notes that due to a significant increase in fuel prices, the further operation of the route now depends on the schedule of events at the museum and is agreed upon with the management of Shevchenkivskyi Hay.
The bus route passes through Soborna Square, Vynnychenka, Lychakivska, and Chernecha Hora streets.
Recall that on May 24, 2026, the square named after Andriy Parubiy was officially opened in Lviv.
