In Poland, starting from 2026, the approach to inspections of companies will change. The National Labor Inspectorate will strengthen control and will start selecting companies for inspections not randomly, but according to special risk algorithms. This is reported by inPoland.
Although the total number of inspections will decrease, their content will become significantly deeper. In 2026, the Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy plans to conduct about 50,000 inspections, which is 5,000 less than the previous year. At the same time, inspectors will focus on enterprises where the likelihood of violations is highest.
Inspections of companies in Poland from 2026: what will be inspected
According to Polish media, inspections will become more detailed. Special attention will be paid to the following issues:
compliance with employee capital plans (PPK);
remote work and its organization;
cases of mobbing;
equal pay for women and men;
temperature and conditions in the workplace.
An additional 200 inspections related to employment under civil law contracts are planned. This is due to the preparation for new powers of the inspection, which are still in the implementation phase.
Who will be selected for inspection according to the ZUS algorithm
A new feature will be the analytical selection of companies for control. Instead of a random approach, PIP will use algorithms and data from the Social Insurance Institution, which will allow more accurate identification of businesses with a high risk of violations.
Inspections will cover, in particular:
construction – about 1,000 sites;
mining industry – underground mines and quarries;
energy, medical facilities, agriculture and forestry;
employment agencies, where about 300 inspections are planned.

During inspections, the priority will be surveys of employees regarding safety, working hours, and salary payments. PIP expects that the new system will allow for more effective detection of labor law violations.
Let us remind you that from February 1, 2026, applications for the 800 Plus assistance will be accepted in Poland, which will last until May 31, 2026.
