The water supply problem in Iran's capital has exacerbated due to the risk of exhausting the main source of drinking water. The Amir Kabir dam, which supplies Tehran with water, has critically low stock levels due to an extreme drought. It is forecasted that the dam will be able to provide the city with water for only two weeks. This has resulted from an exceptionally low level of precipitation that has occurred in the Tehran area this year.
Neighboring Iraq is also suffering from severe drought, which has led to a water supply crisis due to insufficient precipitation. Additionally, the worsening water supply in Crimea is linked to climate change and excessive water consumption.
