Orban stated that Ukraine does not protect Hungary from anyone: details of the scandal

Угорський лідер висловив своє незадоволення щодо ситуації з безпекою на кордонах.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban responded to the criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, noting that Hungary ensures its own security and does not need additional protection. He also reminded of the humanitarian aid Hungary provides to Ukraine, including accepting refugees and medical assistance. Orban also refused to support Ukraine's membership in the European Union due to possible conflicts and losses for Hungarians.

In his response, Orban emphasized Hungary's uniqueness and ability to ensure its own security, as well as to provide assistance to neighboring Ukraine, but declined to support the country's membership in the European Union due to potential consequences for Hungarians. Likely, these controversial relations between the two countries could have further implications for the political situation in the region.
