Ukrainian citizens who heat their homes with solid fuel will be able to access state support in 2025. According to clarifications from the Pension Fund of Ukraine, they can receive housing subsidies, benefits, or one-time cash assistance from international partners.
The heating season is marked by housing subsidies for those citizens who use solid fuel to heat their premises and do not have centralized heating or use gas or electricity. The subsidy is allocated once a year and requires the submission of an application and a declaration of income and expenses.
Benefits are provided for individuals who are registered in the Registry of Persons Entitled to Benefits and use liquefied gas, solid or liquid household heating fuel. This form of support is also provided once a year for the heating season.
The largest form of support is one-time cash assistance for the purchase of solid household heating fuel. This assistance is funded by international donors in the amount of 19,400 hryvnias per household for the heating season.
This assistance can only be obtained by residents of nine regions where hostilities are ongoing or have taken place. The regions eligible for cash assistance are determined by regional state administrations or military administrations.
Users who heat their homes with solid fuel in 2025 may receive state support in the form of housing subsidies, benefits, or cash assistance. This will help improve living conditions and reduce financial pressure during the heating period.
