The national strategy for the development of financial literacy until 2030 has been updated, which foresees a review of the deadlines for implementing measures, an update of the scope of work, and a list of responsible institutions. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, this will help to more effectively achieve strategic goals to raise the level of financial literacy among the population of the country.
Important changes relate to the strategic goal of 'Quality basic financial education', which has been given the highest priority. To motivate students towards financial awareness, two new measures have been added - conducting competitions among students.
The updated strategy takes into account modern challenges, the needs of target groups, and international experience that will contribute to raising the level of financial literacy among Ukrainians. The changes are also due to the results of the first year of the Strategy's implementation and the lack of resources for certain initiatives.
