Frontline Ukrainians to reduce electricity bills: who will receive assistance

Українці на передовій отримають підтримку у зменшенні витрат на електроенергію.

Support program for residents of frontline areas

The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine launches a program to assist residents of frontline areas. The main idea is to provide additional funds for electricity payments for families located in combat zones and receiving housing subsidies.

Thus, residents of regions with active or potential military activity will be granted financial assistance amounting to an additional 100 kilowatt-hours for each family member.

Procedure for receiving assistance

Assistance from the state budget will be provided under certain conditions, such as being in combat zones, having the right to benefits or subsidies for utility payments, and the status of the territories.

  • Amount of support up to 300 kilowatt-hours per household.

  • Amount of assistance: 432 UAH per person and up to 1,296 UAH per household.

It is important to note that this assistance does not cover electricity costs exceeding the established limit, so failure to pay bills may result in debt.

It was previously reported that some Ukrainians would be able to pay only 1.32 UAH per kilowatt-hour.
