This time, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has made the decision to stop train movements in the Donetsk region. Trains to Kramatorsk direction will no longer reach even the stations of Husarivka or Barvinkove in the Kharkiv region. Temporarily, buses will replace trains and ensure transportation between Kramatorsk-Sloviansk and the temporary station. Conductors will assist passengers with all difficulties of orientation and transfer.
'Save the railway - we will still need it. Internal reserves to compensate for losses from passenger transportation are exhausted: either we all start to act together or we will lose the company,' emphasized member of the supervisory board of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' Serhiy Leshchenko.
The company has stated that such a drastic decision was made due to passenger safety. The lack of funds to cover losses at UZ has led to the consideration of raising tariffs on freight and other measures for financial stabilization. The situation is also being monitored, and if possible, train movements will be restored.
