The Government of Ukraine has supported the initiative to provide long-term medical care for veterans of the Russo-Ukrainian War. The medical program is designed for patients with low functional status who require constant supervision and assistance.
In particular, such services will be provided to veterans who have a functional status below 30 points on the Barthel scale.
The program includes various measures, including functional status assessment, rehabilitation, and support provision for the convenience of patients. These services will be free of charge, as funding is provided by the state budget through the National Health Service of Ukraine.
The tariffs for medical care will depend on the patient's level of dependency, and will last at least 28 days. For example, for patients with high dependency, the tariff will be 5,452.52 hryvnias, while for those with moderate dependency it will be 3,484.30 hryvnias.
The approval of this project is an important step in improving medical assistance for veterans and supporting those who need special attention and support in the rehabilitation process after the war.
