Ukrainians have been informed about the amount of military pension starting from November 1, as reported by UNIAN. The pension provision for servicemen in Ukraine has its own peculiarities and differs from civilian payments due to the increased flow of people claiming these pensions since the beginning of the war.
Military personnel can complete their service relatively early at 25 years of service and 45 years of age according to the conditions. The number of years of service also affects the maximum age, for example, ordinary military personnel can serve until 60 years old, while generals can serve until 65 years old.
The size of the military pension depends on the length of service, the department, and the period of discharge. The minimum pension set by the government is 3854 UAH, but most pensioners currently receive 8-9 thousand hryvnias. People in command positions with extensive experience can expect 14-18 thousand hryvnias.
Disability incurred during service differs from the status of 'war invalid'. Contract soldiers with the status of a war invalid receive a percentage of the monetary provision depending on the disability group. Minimum payments are also made for mobilized and conscripts in addition to compensation differences from calculated amounts.
Considering the peculiarities of military pensions in Ukraine, it is important to understand that the amount of payments may depend on the length of service, specialty, and other factors. These pension payments differ from civilian pensions and have their own conditions and criteria. More information about the amounts and conditions of military pension provision can be obtained from official sources or pension institutions in the country.
