A couple in Dnipropetrovsk is accused of murdering their own child
In Dnipropetrovsk, a couple will be tried on charges of murdering their own child. According to the investigation, the couple beat their four-year-old son to death, inflicting more than 20 bodily injuries. This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office, as noted by 'Hlavkom'.
In July 2025, the woman and her husband beat the child with their hands, feet, and a metal pipe for more than four days. The boy suffered these injuries due to disobedience and because he took food from the bread without permission.
«The accused beat the boy in front of other children. The son had more than 12 head injuries, over 10 injuries to his torso and limbs, as well as a dislocated shoulder and a broken arm. The boy died from traumatic shock», - stated the prosecutor's office.
The couple is accused of murdering the child with particular cruelty under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face life imprisonment. Both are currently in custody without the right to bail.
A lawsuit regarding the deprivation of parental rights concerning their other two children is also being considered in court.

It is worth noting that in Kyiv, a 17-year-old resident received a suspect status for leaving her seven-month-old son unattended for four days without supervision and food. This resulted in the child falling into a coma.
