Ukrainian president attends G7 in France
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Évian-les-Bains, France, for a special G7-Ukraine session. The summit began on June 15 and will include meetings with the leaders of:

- Germany
- Canada
- the United Kingdom
- IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva
Zelenskyy is set to hold a brief meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the situation in Ukraine. The main session among leaders will focus on peace and security in Ukraine and Europe. Additional bilateral talks are scheduled between Zelenskyy and:

Emmanuel Macron stated that one of the G7 summit's main goals is to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine. He also emphasized that
“the attack only strengthened the resolve of Paris and its allies to pursue a ceasefire, which Russia continues to reject”— Emmanuel Macron.
Macron added that France is ready to work with Ukrainian authorities on preserving cultural heritage, in response to the Russian strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
