Address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
In an address to defense industry workers, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the creation of a new defense industrial base over four years of full-scale war. He highlighted that Ukraine's current production capacity includes millions of FPV drones annually, long-range strike systems, interception systems, and millions of artillery shells. Zelenskyy also noted that Ukrainian ground robotic complexes have completed over 22,000 combat missions on the front lines in just three months.
Zelenskyy underscored the achievements of Ukraine's defense sector, stating the country now possesses its own long-range missile weaponry.
"This isn't just development; it's real, operational power. 'Flamingo' and 'Ruta,' 'Peklo' and 'Neptune,' 'Palianytsia,' 'Vilkha'—we can already take pride in all of these, but we will certainly not stop here,"he emphasized. The President also pointed to the historic range of Ukrainian drones, which can operate up to 1,750 kilometers from the border.
Zelenskyy further revealed that Ukrainian-made interceptors are already operational in the Middle East and Gulf countries. Talks are planned this week with European partners regarding the creation of a joint air defense system.
"I am convinced: either Ukraine becomes an integral part of the European security system, or someone in Europe risks becoming part of the 'Russian world,'"the President stated. This comes as Ukraine seeks to deepen its security integration with the West while simultaneously expanding its global defense partnerships.
