VAKS confirmed the confiscation of the Land Rover from the official: how the car was purchased

The Appeals Chamber of VAKS confirmed the confiscation of the official's property

According to САП: On November 27, 2025, the Appeals Chamber of VAKS confirmed the legality of recognizing the unjustified asset used by the head of the South-Eastern Interregional Office for the Execution of Criminal Punishments of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine V. Kiryienko and the seizure of its value for the state (civil confiscation).

The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and denied the respondent's appeal. The decision of the Appeals Chamber of VAKS enters into legal force from the moment of its announcement.

Charges against the official for purchasing the car

“In 2023, the official's daughter purchased the car ‘LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VOQUE’, model year 2021, at a cost of 3,290,400 UAH on the day of acquisition in the interests of her father, who indirectly performed actions with such an asset equivalent to the right to dispose of it.”

According to the analysis of the income and expenses of the official and his family members, it was established that it was impossible to purchase this asset from legal sources.

The court decision on the confiscation of the unjustified asset serves as confirmation of the illegality of the car's purchase.
