The European Commission Audit Confirmed: Ukrainian Animal Products Meet EU Standards
According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukrainian producers of animal products have strengthened their positions in the EU market due to the positive result of the European Commission audit. The European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) conducted an audit in Ukraine, the results of which confirmed that the Ukrainian control system complies with EU standards.
The audit covered several important aspects, including:
- state control plans;
- laboratory network;
- investigation of cases of product non-compliance.
This indicates a high level of organization in the quality and safety control of animal products in Ukraine. Thanks to the successful completion of the audit, Ukraine remains on the list of countries authorized to export animal products to the EU (Appendix I of Regulation No. 2021/405).
“The positive assessment of the European Commission is not only a confirmation of our systematic work but also a powerful signal of trust in Ukrainian products worldwide.”
Sergiy Tkachuk, representative of the Ukrainian Association of Producers
This audit is an important step for Ukrainian producers as it confirms the compliance of their products with European standards, which in turn opens new export opportunities. The success of this process may contribute to increasing trust in Ukrainian goods in the international market and stimulate the development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine. Positive results can enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian products in the European market, which is critically important in the context of the country’s economic recovery.
