Bus Accident in New York: Five People Dead, Including a Child

According to glavcom.ua: A horrific bus accident in New York has resulted in five fatalities. The bus, which was transporting tourists from Niagara Falls to New York City, lost control and veered off the road, leading to the deaths of at least five individuals. Over 40 injured passengers have been received at hospitals with various injuries.

The exact number of deceased is still unknown. Passengers were trapped, with a child among the dead. Traumatic brain injuries and fractures of arms and legs are among the common injuries.

According to information from the police, the bus crossed the median strip and collided with a ditch. Many passengers were not wearing seat belts, which led to injuries. Due to the broken glass, several individuals were thrown from the interior.

Indians, Chinese, and Filipinos became victims of the accident, and authorities are seeking translators to assist at the scene.

Unfortunately, bus accidents are not uncommon – a tragedy also occurred in Brazil, where at least 11 people died as a result of a collision between a bus and a truck. Another 45 passengers were injured, 11 of whom are in serious condition. According to the federal highway police report, the accident occurred in Mato Grosso when the passenger vehicle collided with a truck carrying cotton seeds.

These tragedies remind us of the importance of adhering to road safety rules and the need to improve safety systems in buses and other vehicles to prevent similar accidents in the future.
