Українські війська святкують 1,500 днів незламної оборони в селищі Мала Токмачка.

Current Situation in Mala Tokmachka

According to Главком: Russian troops are attempting to advance near the settlement of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region, but Ukrainian defenders are successfully holding their ground and neutralizing enemy assault teams. According to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, speaking on Army FM radio, Mala Tokmachka serves as a key transport hub situated on the road between the occupied town of Polohy and the city of Orikhiv. This location holds strategic importance because it lies along an interregional highway and serves as a convergence point for roads connecting several surrounding villages.

Defense and Strategic Significance

As of now, Russian forces have failed to establish a foothold in the area around the village. The soldiers of the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who are defending Mala Tokmachka, have set a national record in the category of 'Military Resilience and Defense.' They have continuously held their defensive sector in Mala Tokmachka for 1,500 days. The front line lies just 2–3 kilometers from the village. Voloshyn stated,

'The Russians still can’t succeed because the fighters of the 118th Brigade keep breaking their own records and striking the enemy.'

Voloshyn also described Mala Tokmachka as 'a relatively small transport hub where roads from all the surrounding villages converge.' Despite repeated attempts by Russian assault groups to reach the outskirts of the village, Ukrainian troops are effectively destroying the enemy.

'So Mala Tokmachka is ours,'

the Southern Defense Forces spokesperson emphasized.

The successful defense of Mala Tokmachka demonstrates the high level of training and resilience of Ukrainian forces, enabling them to hold strategically vital positions against significant enemy pressure. The village’s role as a transport junction underscores its importance for regional logistics and communications, making control over it essential for both sides. Future developments in this area could have a major impact on the overall situation along the front line.
