The Verkhovna Rada has approved new assistance for families: what will change with the birth of a child

According to glavcom.ua: The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No. 13532, which establishes a new support system for families before and after the birth of a child. 290 Members of Parliament voted for the approval of the document. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' citing MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
Key changes
- One-time payment at birth: The amount of assistance at the birth of the first or subsequent child will increase to 50 thousand UAH and will be paid in a lump sum.
- Flexible 'Baby Package': The newborn kit can now be received from the 36th week of pregnancy.
- Monthly assistance: Women who are not officially employed will be able to receive 7 thousand UAH monthly during pregnancy.
- Support for child care up to 1 year: The state will pay 7 thousand UAH monthly to the person who takes care of the child up to 1 year old.
- 'eYasla' initiative: Parents of a child up to 1 year old are given the opportunity to receive compensation for kindergarten or to pay the single social contribution (SSC).
- One-time assistance for first-graders: 5 thousand UAH will be paid to each first-grader.
In addition, a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers has been announced, which will facilitate the rapid restoration of damaged buildings as a result of Russian attacks. This was told by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.
A heap of novelties for young parents and money for reconstruction after the war are such important and necessary steps that will help improve social protection and compensate for the losses incurred.
