DBR uncovered a corruption scheme in the TCC: updating data without presence for $9000
DBR uncovered officials who organized an illegal scheme for updating military data
The detectives of the State Bureau of Investigations revealed a scheme in which two officials from military command legally updated military registration data in two territorial centers for recruitment and special purposes in Volyn and Kyiv.
According to information, in January 2025, one of the lieutenant colonels participated in illegal actions involving the updating and entering of data into the 'Oberih' registry for a paid service amounting to 4 thousand US dollars.
After a successful operation, the lieutenant colonel decided to approach his superior with a proposal to establish a 'business' on draft dodgers, but not through the capital's TCC, rather through the Volyn one, where his superior had connections. The colonel agreed to this proposal and established contact with one of the Volyn TCCs.
A total of four facts of entering illegal data were revealed. Charges are being brought under Article 28 part 2 and Article 369-2 part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case has been sent to court, and the penalties under this article include imprisonment for up to 5 years.
The DBR investigation revealed how officials used their powers for personal gain, violating the law and endangering state security. Procedural actions in this case are ongoing, with all circumstances and involved persons being thoroughly checked.
