Denial of Collaboration with Intelligence Services

According to ХВИЛЯ: Blogger Andriy Kryndushkin, who has been evading an Interpol warrant for years while hiding in Asia, has publicly denied rumors that he collaborated with Ukrainian intelligence. In his comments, he confirmed a friendship with diplomat and intelligence officer Volodymyr Kamashok, who served as First Secretary at the Ukrainian consulate in the United Arab Emirates. Kryndushkin, however, stressed that their relationship was purely personal and not connected to any recruitment efforts.

Kryndushkin's Fears About Returning

Andriy Kryndushkin, originally from the Luhansk region, has no immediate plans to return to Ukraine. He expressed serious concerns about potential security screenings at the border.

"I don't even want to try passing through any filtration process somewhere. I wouldn't pass them anyway-I have too much varied content, including with politicians and so on..."

he stated.

Kryndushkin further noted his desire to avoid drawing attention to himself.

"Honestly, I've never sought the spotlight and I don't want that kind of publicity. I hope that nobody needs me. I live in my own closed world,"

the blogger emphasized. He added:

"If I went, I would immediately play the fool for all these special services; I wouldn't be of any use."

In the past, Kryndushkin has faced extradition requests, which have undoubtedly influenced his decision to remain outside Ukraine. His case highlights the precarious existence of individuals with state connections who are subject to international warrants. For context, Ukraine's security landscape has been intensely scrutinized since 2014, making border checks and vetting procedures particularly stringent for individuals with controversial backgrounds.

The situation underscores the complex challenges faced by those on international wanted lists who also have ties to government structures. Amid ongoing political and social instability in Ukraine, his apprehensions about border checks and extradition point to the significant risks for individuals linked to controversial or sensitive matters. The presence of figures like Kryndushkin in the information space also raises questions about their potential influence on public opinion and the broader political dynamics in the region.
