World Cycling Champion Included in Peacemaker: Why the Russian Athlete Was Listed

Yana Burlakova, the Russian world champion in track cycling, has been included in the database of the 'Peacemaker' website. The information states that she is considered complicit in the crimes of the Russian government against Ukraine and has engaged in war propaganda.

At the forum 'Russia - Sports State', held in Samara and Tolyatti, Yana Burlakova actively participated alongside representatives of the occupation structures of the Russian authorities from Ukrainian regions.

It is worth noting that the International Skating Union recognized the Russian skater Alexander Sayutin as a neutral athlete. Participation of athletes in propaganda events violates the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee, especially on the eve of the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
