Most Ukrainian fans supported athletes' performances against Russians

According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian sports fans expressed their views on the participation of Ukrainian athletes in competitions that involve Russians and Belarusians. According to the Base of Ukrainian Sports, 59% of fans support the participation of Ukrainians in such competitions, 22% are unsure, and only 19% are against.

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidny, stated that despite the fight to prevent Russians and Belarusians from participating in sports competitions, Ukraine must preserve the opportunity to compete on international stages. He also announced changes to the order regarding the participation of Ukrainian athletes in such competitions.

It is worth noting that the participation of a Russian figure skater in a propaganda event violates the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee regarding neutral athletes and is outrageously perceived by the Ukrainian public.
