Fuel prices at gas stations: what experts predict

Economist Oleg Pendzin notes that prices could rise by another 5–7 UAH per liter if oil exceeds 100 dollars per barrel.

The rise in fuel prices creates risks for farmers ahead of the planting season. It may also affect food prices, although a good harvest can partially offset this effect.

Recall that on March 9, 2026, expert Oleg Popenko during a live broadcast on the YouTube channel Popenko Pro voiced alarming forecasts regarding the consequences of rising world oil prices for Ukraine. He noted that strategic fuel reserves in the country would last a maximum of a month, and the price of fuel at Ukrainian gas stations could reach 100 hryvnias per liter.
