Why There Are Different Power Outage Schedules in Ukraine: Ukrenergo's Explanation
The Impossibility of Establishing Uniform Outage Schedules
According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukrenergo explained the impossibility of establishing uniform outage schedules for the entire Ukraine. The reasons for this lie in the complex situation in frontline and border regions, where damage to energy infrastructure is most critical.
The enemy continues to destroy infrastructure by striking with missiles, drones, artillery, and guided bombs. This leads to delays in repairs, especially during air alerts in frontline areas. As a result, the duration of outages in these regions is significantly greater compared to rear areas.
The Situation in Rear Regions
Rear regions are recovering faster due to better access to electricity imports from Europe. However, it is impossible to transfer the 'saved' kilowatts from rear areas to Zaporizhzhia due to damage to main networks. This complicates the situation and makes outage schedules different in various parts of the country.
The energy supply situation in Ukraine remains critical due to military actions that directly affect energy infrastructure. In the context of constant attacks, the restoration of power networks in frontline regions becomes an increasingly challenging task, requiring not only time but also resources. Ensuring stable electricity supply in all regions of the country remains a priority, but due to existing difficulties, there is a need for differentiated approaches to outage schedules.
