The State Border Guard Service named the points in Lviv region with the shortest queues before the New Year

According to glavcom.ua: In the Lviv region, the number of passengers crossing the border through checkpoints is increasing before the New Year holidays. According to the State Border Guard Service (SBGS), the heaviest load is currently observed at the 'Shhehyni' and 'Krakivtsi' checkpoints, while the shortest queues can be seen at the 'Smilnytsia' and 'Nyzhankovychy' points. Moderate traffic is observed at other checkpoints.

The SBGS predicts an increase in the number of passengers by 25%, so border guards are already preparing - they are providing additional automated workplaces and cooperating with their Polish colleagues. However, it is worth noting that during the holiday days, a slight decrease in traffic intensity is expected, but after the first week of January, passenger traffic may decrease. To cross the border quickly, it is better to choose less busy checkpoints and travel at non-peak hours.
