Several regions of Turkey are affected by large-scale forest fires (photo, video)

Turkey continues to fight large-scale forest fires that have engulfed various regions of the country. One of the most serious fire incidents occurred between the towns of Kestel and Gursu, located in the Bursa province. The strength of the fire is intensified by strong winds, which spread the flames at high speed. For safety reasons, authorities have temporarily closed the Bursa-Ankara highway towards Ankara. People are being evacuated from the Karahidir area due to the dangerous approach of the fire to the city of Gursu.Unfortunately, rescuers and volunteers have been killed and injured in these fires, with more than 13 casualties and 14 injured reported in Eskisehir province. Among the dead are also local residents, and the material damage has been significant. The fire has engulfed six regions, including the Mediterranean coast and the cities of Antalya and Manavgat. Thousands of people have left their homes, and hundreds of houses have been damaged. However, the causes of the outbreak of the fire are still being investigated.Unfortunately, the fire crisis has affected not only Turkey but also neighboring Greece. Here, large regions are also engulfed in flames, leading to the evacuation of residents and record high temperatures reaching 44 degrees Celsius.
