Ukrainians will receive 1000 hryvnias in aid: who can qualify
The Ukrainian government has launched the 'Winter Support' program, which provides for the payment of 1000 hryvnias to the most vulnerable segments of the population. This money can be spent on medicines, food, utilities, books, and charitable contributions. This is an emergency decision by the government that does not replace existing social programs but supplements them.
The program has united previously existing support programs and aims to provide assistance to a larger number of people in difficult life circumstances. The budget for 2025 allocates 11 billion hryvnias for the payment of additional aid. Applications for financial assistance for children can be submitted starting November 15, and the funds can be spent until June 30, 2026.
This program will help 11 million Ukrainians to better endure the winter period. The government promised to distribute the allocated funds responsibly to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.
