Diya saved Ukrainians 184 billion hryvnias: how digitization conquers corruption
Ukrainian digital services continue to actively change the country, demonstrating impressive results in the fight against corruption and saving funds. The study 'Anti-Corruption Results of Digitization' confirms that since 2020, digital services have saved over 184 billion hryvnias. In addition to economic benefits, they have also significantly accelerated the service delivery process, reducing costs for the state and citizens. According to research by Civitta, on average, an online service costs six times cheaper than a traditional offline service. This radical reduction in the cost of service delivery allows the state to use its resources more efficiently and ensures a more transparent process. The research also emphasizes that if all Ukrainians use digital services, the economic effect could reach up to 75 billion hryvnias per year. Digital tools have already proven their effectiveness in combating corruption, for example, in the maritime sector, where they helped completely eliminate corruption risks. The analysis shows how technologies can positively impact the effectiveness of public financial management and the fight against corruption.
