Children's Football Tournament in Slavsko: Team from Kharkiv Region Withdraws Due to Bullying
According to glavcom.ua: Maxim Stifanyshchen, a deputy of the Lozova District Council, spoke about the conflict that arose due to the 'Quadro' goalkeeper, who was older than the announced age. The parents of the opponents expressed distrust towards the team from Kharkiv region, were horrified and insulted the players after their victory.
The children's football team 'Quadro' from Zlatopelets ended its participation in the 'Slavsko cup-2025' tournament early due to a possible incident of bullying during a match with a team from Lviv region. The organizer stated that there was no need to apologize to the children, but still offered an apology.
The match ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the Zlatopelets, but the parents of the opponents continued to show aggression, negatively regarding the team.
Zlatopelets City Hall Demands Official Apologies to the Children
Mayor Mykola Bakshyev demands official apologies to the children for unsportsmanlike behavior and bullying. He noted that the children were ignored during the tournament, while the parents were hooliganizing and provoking conflicts.
Position of the Tournament Organizers
Tournament organizer Oleksandr Kryvenda acknowledged the possibility of older players on the 'Quadro' team, but stated that he ignored this, urging reciprocity between teams. Kryvenda believes the reaction of the 'Quadro' coach was exaggerated and unfounded.
The organizers ensured safety after the match, and those who violated the game were removed from the stadium. Kryvenda excludes the possibility of apologizing to the Zlatopelets team and asserts that they acted within the tournament regulations.
