By January 25, 2026: employers must form new military registration lists
According to ХВИЛЯ: By January 25, 2026, Ukrainian employers are required to conduct an audit and form personal military registration lists as of January 1. Expert Lyudmyla Smerdova provided recommendations on filling out documents and the structure of the lists. It is important to note that the deadline for conducting the audit and forming the lists falls on Sunday, January 25, 2026. For enterprises operating under a standard five-day workweek, the last day to form the lists is January 23, 2026.
Features of forming lists
The military registration lists are formed in alphabetical order with certain exceptions. In particular:
- Column 6, which contains the VIN code, is mandatory to fill out.
- Column 8 is filled out only for those liable for military service: for officers, it is necessary to indicate 6 digits, and for privates and sergeants – 3 digits.
- In column 11, regarding the address, priority is given to the actual place of residence of the person.
It is also important to pay attention to column 13, where information about deferment must be written out in words. Documents containing these lists must be signed by the head of the enterprise and the responsible person for military registration. Lyudmyla Smerdova emphasized that the main condition is that the information in these paper military registration documents must not contradict the data contained in the Obérіh register. The audit of the lists, their printing, signing, and registration must be completed by January 25, 2026.
Considering the above, employers should prepare in advance for the formation of lists and take into account all the nuances of filling out individual columns. This will ensure compliance with the requirements of the legislation and avoid possible problems in the future.
The formation of new military registration lists is an important stage in ensuring proper control over those liable for military service in Ukraine. This obligation is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of military registration and assisting in coordinating efforts in case of the need for mobilization of servicemen. Given the current situation in the country, compliance with legal requirements becomes especially relevant for employers, as any violations can lead to serious consequences for enterprises.
