The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has welcomed a new member of Parliament. On June 12, Andriy Levus took the oath, recognized as elected by the Central Election Commission from the political party ‘European Solidarity’. This is reported by Ukrainian Truth.

Levus received his deputy mandate after the death of MP Stepan Kubiv, who passed away in May 2026 at the age of 64.

Who is Andriy Levus

Andriy Levus was born in 1979. He began his political career during Viktor Yushchenko's presidential campaign in 2004, leading the election headquarters in Ternopil region.

Later, he worked as an assistant to MP Andriy Parubiy, and in 2012 he headed the election headquarters of Valentina Nalyvaichenko in the parliamentary elections.

During the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014, Levus headed the command of the Maidan Self-Defense. After the change of power, he became the deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine under Valentina Nalyvaichenko.

He has already worked in Parliament

In 2014, Andriy Levus was elected MP of the VIII convocation from the ‘People’s Front’ party. In the IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, he did not pass to Parliament, although he ran on the list of ‘European Solidarity’.

During his time in the VIII convocation, his name was involved in a case regarding compensation for housing expenses for members of Parliament. The investigation believed that he received compensation while owning property near Kyiv.

However, in 2021, the High Anti-Corruption Court acquitted Levus. Despite this, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office appealed the decision.

With the oath-taking, Andriy Levus officially began work in the IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada.

It is worth noting that yesterday Mykola Daviduk took the oath of an MP and joined the Holos faction.
