DTEK’s Online Service Gets a Refresh

According to ХВИЛЯ: DTEK has rolled out an updated online platform for submitting electricity meter readings, giving users a more convenient way to manage their device information. According to DTEK Kyiv Power Grids, the new features include:

  • display of the meter model;
  • serial number;
  • previously submitted readings;
  • current electricity consumption data.

The system is primarily designed for residents of apartment buildings.

Submitting Readings Made Easier

Customers can now enter their electricity usage data and access details about their meter after providing their personal account number. The page now includes step-by-step prompts tailored to different meter types, simplifying the entire submission process. Users can also check whether their device is functioning properly and learn about potential signs of malfunction.

Electricity meter readings can be submitted via chatbots on Viber and Telegram. DTEK has also prepared video tutorials and a QR code for quick access to the new service. It’s important to note that meter readings must be submitted two days before the end of the current month and within three days after the start of the next one. If data is submitted late, consumption will be calculated based on average daily usage.

This update to DTEK’s online service could significantly streamline how many users monitor and manage their electricity consumption, especially amid rising tariffs and the growing need to track expenses. The introduction of features like guided prompts and meter functionality checks aims to improve communication between the company and its customers. It also reflects a broader trend toward digitalization of services in Ukraine, making essential utilities more accessible to the public.

As DTEK enhances its online services, it's crucial for users to be aware of the new regulations regarding meter reading submissions. Under recent guidelines, Ukrainians now have a five-day window to submit their meter readings, which emphasizes the importance of timely reporting to avoid average consumption calculations.
