Changes in the organization of military registration in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Changes have taken place in the organization of military registration in Ukraine, in particular, an electronic military registration document (MRD) has been introduced through the 'Reserve+' application. From now on, the electronic MRD has become the main document, while paper versions remain only for limited categories of individuals. Citizens registered with the territorial centers of recruitment and social support (TCRS) can no longer obtain a paper MRD. Paper documents will only be issued to those registered with the Security Service of Ukraine and intelligence agencies.

New rules for obtaining military registration documents

According to the new rules, the possibility of obtaining a printout through Administrative Services Centers (ASC) will appear only 60 days after the new presidential decree on mobilization. Military registration documents of the old format remain valid until the new electronic document is obtained. It is important to note that documents lose their validity if the data does not match the information in the Unified State Register 'Oberih'.

• Tatyana Donets noted:

  “Today, it is impossible to obtain an MRD through the ASC, as mobilization continues every 90 days but is not declared.”

• She emphasized that for verification, not only copies of paper MRDs can be provided, but also a printout of Reserve ID.

Thus, the innovations in the organization of military registration in Ukraine are aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining military registration documents and adapting it to modern technologies.

The introduction of the electronic military registration document (MRD) indicates Ukraine's gradual transition to the digitalization of public services, which may reduce bureaucracy and increase the efficiency of accounting.
