According to hvylya.net: Ukraine and Poland recently reached an agreement to increase the volumes of gas supply. The project specifies an increase in guaranteed capacity from Poland to Ukraine for one and a half years.

According to information from the Ministry of Energy, the volume of natural gas imports from Poland to Ukraine has nearly doubled, amounting to 12.4 million cubic meters per day.

In preparation for the heating season and to enhance the reliability of gas supplies for Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy appealed to Polish colleagues to support the development of guaranteed capacity for gas supplies. 'The Polish gas import route is gradually becoming stronger and is becoming key to ensuring gas for Ukraine. These are also new sources of resources, particularly through LNG terminals in Poland and Lithuania, which expands supply options and enhances the country's energy security,' commented Nikolai Kolesnik, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

The agreement to increase gas supplies was signed by the operators of the gas transportation systems of Poland (Gaz-System) and Ukraine (OGTSU). This consequently expands the volume of gas supplies from Poland until September 2026.

Ukraine and Poland have agreed to a temporary increase in gas supplies from August 1, 2025, to September 2026. The guaranteed capacity for gas imports from Poland to Ukraine has nearly doubled to 12.4 million cubic meters per day. This is a step towards enhancing the security of gas supplies for Ukraine and accessing new sources of resources through LNG terminals in Poland and Lithuania.
