Estonia Ratifies Agreements to Establish Tribunal and Compensation Commission for Ukraine

According to Кабмін: At the Three Seas Initiative Summit, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko met with Estonia’s Parliamentary Speaker, Lauri Hussar. Their discussion focused on deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly regarding legal accountability for Russian aggression.
Estonia’s Ratification of Key Agreements
Estonia has ratified the Enhanced Partial Agreement to establish the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, as well as the Convention setting up an International Compensation Commission. This commission will handle claims for damages inflicted on Ukraine by Russia’s aggression.
Yuliia Svyrydenko noted: 'Estonia’s parliament was among the first to ratify the Enhanced Partial Agreement to create the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, followed by the Convention establishing the International Compensation Commission to process claims for compensation of damages caused by Russia’s aggression.'
These actions underscore Estonia’s strong backing for Ukraine on critical legal matters related to compensation for war-related losses.
The meeting highlights the international support Ukraine continues to receive in its pursuit of justice and reparations for damages caused by the war.
