eRecovery: 7 Reasons for Refusal of Compensation for Damaged Housing
The eRecovery program continues to provide assistance to families whose homes have been affected by the armed aggression of Russia. More than 143,000 families have already received support for the restoration of damaged housing or received certificates for the purchase of new housing. The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has systematized the most common reasons for refusals and prepared recommendations for avoiding them. One of the most common problems is the incorrect choice of the type of compensation. It is important to correctly determine whether compensation is needed for damaged or destroyed housing. It is also important to have all necessary documents, including proof of ownership in the State Register of Real Rights to Real Estate. The Ministry has also announced an expansion of the eRecovery program, including a new component for internally displaced persons from temporarily occupied territories, who will receive a housing voucher for purchasing housing or paying the down payment for a mortgage.
